We are seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineer to join our Team at an industry-leading Engineering Firm that provides engineering leadership and innovative solutions for complex building, energy, and utility projects. As a Sr. Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for coordinating the work of Electrical Engineers with the balance of a multi-disciplined team throughout a project's development and construction. You will track the financial aspects of projects, ensuring that the work is completed within budget while maintaining client relationships and participating in marketing, design, and production meetings regarding electrical systems. This role also includes conducting reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance and acting as a mentor for junior staff members. Responsibilities

  • Leading electrical design teams for several concurrent projects.
  • Coordinating the work of Electrical Engineers with the balance of a multi-disciplined team throughout a project's development and construction.
  • Coordinating workload to complete documents on schedule.
  • Tracking the financial aspects of projects, coordinating, and adjusting the work effort with the team to ensure that the work is completed within budget.
  • Conducting schematic, design development and contract document working sessions with clients.
  • Establishing and maintaining client relationships, participating in marketing, design, and production meetings with regard to electrical systems.
  • Conducting reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance.
  • Acting as a mentor for junior staff members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.
  • PE License in ability to gain reciprocity (Preferred, Not Required).
  • 10+ years' experience in electrical design of complex buildings is required.
  • Extensive knowledge of building electrical power, lighting, and signal design, including life safety systems and energy monitoring systems.
  • Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm required.
  • Strong computer knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD, and electrical design software.
