About the position

As a Sr. Electrical Manufacturing Engineer at Reliable Robotics, you will play a critical role in developing and improving manufacturing, integration, and supply chain processes for safety-enhancing aviation technology. This position involves designing systems for electrical and avionics products, conducting design reviews, and developing processes to scale the business. You will work in a hands-on environment that focuses on taking automated aviation systems from prototype to production, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Building, integrating, testing, diagnosing, inspecting, and maintaining electrical or avionics assemblies and related products.
  • Collaborating with avionics and mechanical design teams, technicians, and aircraft mechanics to enhance product development velocity.
  • Representing the production organization in design reviews and evaluating designs for cost, producibility, and compliance with requirements.
  • Assuring product and process quality through testing and establishing standards.
  • Improving integration and manufacturing processes, including developing work instructions.
  • Resolving product non-conformances and collaborating with the quality team for corrective actions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent industry experience.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing, integration, design, and/or testing experience, preferably with Printed Circuit Board (PCB) in Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA).
  • Hands-on confidence in troubleshooting, repairing, setup, and operating complex avionics products.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and materials knowledge in a safety-critical environment.
  • Proficiency with CAD and PLM software, such as Altium, NX, and Teamcenter.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Quality Management System requirements such as AS9100 and CFR 21.137.
  • Electro-mechanical assembly and prototype development experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
