The position involves managing the enterprise Microsoft Exchange environment and supporting email security systems. The candidate will also manage Microsoft Entra and on-premise Active Directory components, requiring the ability to work in a hybrid Microsoft Azure environment. Responsibilities include managing user accounts and groups, group policy objects, permissions, synchronization, reporting, and licensing. The role requires adherence to proper change management procedures for the installation and testing of all upgrades and enhancements for email and IM systems. The candidate will maintain best practices, troubleshoot problems, and take corrective action in a timely manner. Additionally, the role involves providing technical support to internal and external users, staying updated with the latest O365 and Azure functionality, and working a flexible schedule that may include nights, weekends, and holidays. The candidate should be highly motivated and capable of working independently, while also serving as a mentor to Level I support staff. Monitoring systems for optimal operation and performance, responding to events, and resolving issues are key responsibilities. The candidate will escalate issues to management with detailed descriptions and hypotheses for root causes, solve issues collaboratively, and develop and maintain documentation on systems.
