About the position

The Sr. EMC Electrical Engineer at Hewlett Packard Enterprise is responsible for designing and debugging engineering solutions for electrical and electronic components, ensuring compliance with electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) standards. This role involves leading project teams, developing test plans, and collaborating with various stakeholders to deliver high-quality products. The engineer will also provide guidance to junior staff and contribute to energy efficiency initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Design and debug engineering solutions for electrical and electronic parts and subsystems.
  • Develop and implement parameters and test plans for new and existing designs, focusing on electromagnetic interference and system power measurements.
  • Lead project teams of electrical hardware engineers and development partners to create reliable and cost-effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with management and development partners on design status, project progress, and issue resolution.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.
  • Act as a test engineer and consultant for energy efficiency regulations and testing.
  • Maintain and manage the quality system database and project tracking activities.
  • Finalize and publish all test reports and lead on-site calibration activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Typically 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering.
  • Proficiency in using electrical design tools and software packages.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in the overall architecture of electronic hardware for products and solutions.
  • Ability to evaluate and select testing methodologies for validating designs and emissions management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with mastery in English.

Nice-to-haves

  • History of innovation with multiple patents in electronics packaging.
  • Experience with Agile methodology and Scrum development.
  • Skills in coaching and cross-functional teamwork.
  • Familiarity with ISO17025 environments and EMC testing.
