About the position

The Sr. ER Consultant plays a crucial role in mitigating risks for the organization while enhancing the employee experience. This position involves counseling and guiding people leaders through complex employee issues, ensuring that both organizational policies and employee concerns are addressed fairly and equitably. The consultant will be responsible for various areas including conducting investigations, implementing corrective actions, and providing coaching and counseling to management. Additionally, the role encompasses managing leaves of absence and accommodations, as well as supporting reductions in force, responding to EEOC inquiries, and interpreting company policies. Core competencies for this position include strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to listen effectively, and proficiency in conflict resolution, negotiation, and mediation. The consultant will be expected to identify and mitigate risks by managing employee relations issues and ensuring compliance with organizational policies, practices, and the overarching mission, vision, and values of Molina Healthcare. The Sr. ER Consultant will utilize exceptional documentation skills to prepare necessary reports and communications, always keeping discoverability in mind. They will assess risks and resolve conflicts through mediation, while also tracking case details to identify trends and recurring issues. Promoting a positive work environment is essential, and the consultant will work to yield fair solutions for employees. In addition to conducting investigations into alleged misconduct and workplace incivility, the consultant will leverage Employee Engagement Survey results to develop solutions that enhance the employee experience. They will assist management in addressing employee issues, prepare for difficult conversations, and provide strategic insights into employee relations challenges. Mentoring and leading other Employee Relations Consultants will also be part of the role, as well as taking the lead on complex projects and initiatives in collaboration with HR Business Partners, Legal, Compliance, and other stakeholders.

  • Provide strategic insights into employee relations issues and conduct trend analysis.
  • Mentor and lead Employee Relations Consultants, providing expertise and guidance.
  • Take the lead on complex employee relations projects or initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 years in Employee Relations, Human Resources, or Employment Law.
