About the position

The Sr. ER Consultant plays a crucial role in mitigating organizational risk while enhancing the employee experience. This position involves guiding people leaders through complex employee issues, conducting investigations, and ensuring adherence to policies. The consultant will balance risk management with the need for fair and equitable solutions, focusing on areas such as corrective action, leaves of absence, and employee coaching.

Responsibilities

  • Mitigate risk for the organization by managing employee relations issues and ensuring adherence to policies.
  • Utilize exceptional written communication skills to prepare documentation with discoverability in mind.
  • Assess risk and resolve conflict through mediation.
  • Track case details to identify trends and address recurring risks.
  • Promote a positive work environment by yielding fair and equitable solutions for employees.
  • Conduct investigations into alleged misconduct and workplace incivility.
  • Utilize Employee Engagement Survey results to create solutions for a better employee experience.
  • Assist management in addressing employee issues, including corrective action and HR policy adherence.
  • Prepare management for difficult employee conversations by creating talking points.
  • Provide a strategic view of employee relations issues and conduct trend analysis.
  • Mentor and lead Employee Relations Consultants, providing expertise on employee relations issues.
  • Take the lead on complex employee relations projects or initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 years in Human Resources, counseling, social work, law, or a comparable field.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree or J.D.
