The Sr. ER Consultant plays a crucial role in mitigating risks for the organization while enhancing the employee experience. This position involves counseling and guiding people leaders through complex employee issues, ensuring that both organizational policies and employee concerns are addressed fairly and equitably. The consultant will be responsible for various areas including investigations, corrective actions, coaching and counseling for people leaders, managing leaves of absence, and providing accommodations. Additionally, the role requires the capability to handle reductions in force, respond to EEOC inquiries, and interpret policies effectively. Core competencies for this position include strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to listen actively, and proficiency in conflict resolution, negotiation, and mediation. The consultant will identify and mitigate risks by managing employee relations issues and ensuring adherence to organizational policies, practices, and the core values of Molina Healthcare. Exceptional documentation skills are necessary to prepare appropriate records for each case, keeping discoverability in mind. The Sr. ER Consultant will conduct thorough investigations into allegations of misconduct and workplace incivility, applying diligence based on the nature of each case. They will also utilize Employee Engagement Survey results to develop solutions that enhance the employee experience within their client groups. This role involves assisting management in addressing employee issues, preparing for difficult conversations, and providing strategic insights into employee relations challenges. The consultant will mentor and lead other Employee Relations Consultants, offering expertise and guidance on various employee relations matters, and will take the lead on complex projects or initiatives in collaboration with HR Business Partners, Legal, Compliance, and other stakeholders.
