About the position

The Sr. Employee Relations Consultant is responsible for mitigating organizational risk while enhancing the employee experience. This role involves guiding people leaders through complex employee issues, conducting investigations, and ensuring adherence to policies. The consultant will balance risk management with the need for fair and equitable solutions, focusing on areas such as corrective action, coaching, and compliance with HR policies.

Responsibilities

• Mitigate risk for the organization by managing employee relations issues and ensuring adherence to policies.
• Utilize exceptional written communication skills to prepare documentation with discoverability in mind.
• Assess risk and resolve conflict through mediation.
• Track case details to identify trends and address recurring risks.
• Promote a positive work environment by yielding fair solutions for employees.
• Conduct investigations into alleged misconduct and workplace incivility.
• Utilize Employee Engagement Survey results to create solutions for a better employee experience.
• Assist management in addressing employee issues, including corrective action and HR policy adherence.
• Prepare management for difficult employee conversations by creating talking points.
• Provide a strategic view of employee relations issues and conduct trend analysis.
• Offer efficient consultative services to create capacity for people leaders.
• Mentor and lead Employee Relations Consultants on employee relations issues.
• Lead complex employee relations projects and partner with HRBP's, Legal, and Compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years in Human Resources, counseling, social work, law, or a comparable field.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's Degree or J.D.
