About the position

The Employee Relations Manager is a key HR leadership role responsible for overseeing employment risk and resolving issues related to Associate Relations. This position ensures a work environment free from harassment and discrimination while maintaining compliance with all relevant employment laws. The role involves implementing strategic initiatives, optimizing opportunities for company success, and ensuring an exceptional experience for team members.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee employment risk and resolve issues related to Associate Relations.
  • Ensure a work environment free from harassment and discrimination.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Implement strategic initiatives to support company success.
  • Communicate at the leadership level and collaborate across corporate functions.
  • Address team member issues as appropriate.
  • Provide training for management on DEI, applicable laws, and policies.
  • Organize and facilitate dispute or conflict meetings.
  • Investigate allegations of discrimination and harassment from intake through closure.
  • Provide guidance for management in administering HR policies and procedures.
  • Administer policies designed to increase employee relations effectiveness.
  • Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of HR records and reports.
  • Assist legal counsel in preparing legal defenses.
  • Maintain documentation in compliance with regulations and company policy.
  • Support new hire screening programs and employee hotline.
  • Provide resources for crisis management-related issues.

Requirements

  • 3 - 5 years' experience with employee relations and investigations required.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and draft documents.
  • Effective presentation skills in one-on-one and group situations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Strong client relationship management skills.
