About the position

The Sr. Employee Relations Partner at Alteryx is a strategic leader within the People & Culture team, responsible for fostering a positive and inclusive work environment. This role involves building strong relationships across the organization, advising on employee relations issues, and ensuring compliance with global employment laws and regulations. The position plays a crucial role in promoting fair practices that align with company values and supports the development of a best-in-class Employee Relations function.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement employee relations strategies, policies, and programs that align with organizational goals.
  • Serve as a primary contact for employee grievances, complaints, and concerns, ensuring timely and fair resolution.
  • Lead investigations into employee concerns, ensuring impartiality, compliance, and proper documentation.
  • Collaborate with the Legal team to ensure investigations are conducted in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Provide training and guidance to HRBPs and managers on employee relations matters.
  • Collaborate with DEIB and Legal teams to develop and ensure compliance with employment policies.
  • Identify potential employee relations issues and develop strategies to prevent or mitigate them.
  • Monitor key ER metrics and recommend improvement initiatives based on insights.
  • Partner with the Benefits team to assist in complex leave and accommodation requests.
  • Develop strong working relationships across the P&C team to ensure alignment with business strategies.

Requirements

  • Comprehensive understanding of employment and HR-related laws in global jurisdictions.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading investigations and advising on performance challenges.
  • Strong consultative skills with a proactive approach to ER issues.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent analytical and critical-thinking skills.
  • Bachelor's degree; a master's degree or JD is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience, including 4+ years leading an Employee Relations function or 2+ years in employment law practice.
