About the position

The Sr. Engineer I, Software Engineering BE position at Oak Street Health involves contributing to the development of Canopy, a transformative clinical operations and population health platform. This role focuses on building scalable services that directly impact patient care and the overall healthcare experience. As a Full Stack Engineer, you will work in a fast-paced, agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain innovative healthcare applications.

Responsibilities

• Contribute in all aspects of the SDLC process (SCRUM, Design, Code, Test, Deploy & Maintain)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Participate in code reviews
• Improve overall code quality and maintainability
• Address Technical Debt and Bugs
• Implement SecDevOps best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or relevant industry experience
• 3+ years' experience building consumer-facing products with large distributed system backend using .NET in a Linux environment
• Knowledge of threading and memory management in building microservices
• Knowledge in building resilient, scalable, and secure software
• Experience with performance optimization of MongoDB
• Experience working in a distributed, event-driven, cloud-native environment (Azure/AWS) using Docker/Kubernetes
• Experience with Domain Driven Design (DDD)
• Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) achieving 80% plus code coverage on microservices
• Experience working in an Agile/DevOps environment

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Kafka and Kafka Streams
• Experience with Event Sourcing
• Experience using Protobuf and gRPC
