About the position

The Sr Engineer, Tech Support (BMS Controls Engineer/Programmer) at T-Mobile is responsible for supporting and enhancing the Automated Logic Corporation (ALC) WebCTRL Building Management System (BMS) networks. This role involves design review, validation, testing, and operational acceptance of new or expanded BMS nodes and platforms. The engineer will perform diagnostic investigations into complex BMS network issues, provide technical leadership, and interface with vendors for problem management and technical solutions. The position requires extensive knowledge of BMS programming and aims to improve system reliability and customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support end-to-end ALC WebCTRL BMS networks and solutions.
  • Perform design review, validation, testing, and operations acceptance for new or expansion BMS nodes/platforms.
  • Conduct diagnostic investigations into complex BMS network issues to identify root causes.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to other engineers in diagnosing and troubleshooting BMS platforms.
  • Evaluate and report on design, reliability, and maintenance problems to T-Mobile design or BMS vendor organizations.
  • Serve as the primary interface between T-Mobile and its BMS vendors for technical escalation and problem management.
  • Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) level support in BMS programming and solutions design.
  • Identify technical development opportunities for engineers and develop training programs as needed.
  • Analyze design, reliability, and maintenance problems and provide recommendations for improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in BMS controls engineering or programming.
  • Extensive knowledge of WebCTRL and BMS programming.
  • Experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting complex BMS systems.
  • Ability to provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Ecostruxure and Niagara BMS platforms.
  • Familiarity with building automation systems and critical facility operations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
