About the position
The Sr. Engineer - Whitebox/Embedded Software Senior Tester is responsible for performing comprehensive testing and validation of embedded software applications. This role involves developing detailed test cases, executing tests, and ensuring compliance with quality assurance standards. The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within an Agile environment, focusing on delivering high-quality software products.
Responsibilities
- Perform end-to-end functional testing and validation for the applications under test.
- Develop detailed test cases, risk identification, and impact analysis.
- Review customer requirements, use cases, user stories, and functional requirements to author test cases.
- Execute test cases for products under development using test management/tracking tools.
- Create and maintain cases, scenarios/scripts in compliance with defined QA standards and methodologies.
- Establish and configure testing environments for executing test cases and scenarios.
Requirements
- 3-5 years experience in Embedded device/Hardware Testing knowledge.
- Ability to perform whitebox testing and unit testing.
- Hands-on experience in mobile app or mobile device testing.
- Hands-on experience in Python/Appium is an added advantage.
- Experience working with Test Hardware and boards.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Healthcare Domain and FDA's device testing lifecycle.
- Experience working in an Agile environment, including participation in Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, Standups, Review, and Retrospect.
- Ability to take direction from designated IT Leadership and work closely with BU Lead.
- Expert in creating required test data to cover all business requirements, including positive and negative testing scenarios.
