About the position

The Sr Engineering Services Manager for Technical Publications at Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) is responsible for managing functional teams through program execution across a wide range of products and services, including advanced mission payloads and electronic systems. This role involves ensuring that deliverables meet program schedules, overseeing training, and providing technical direction while continuously improving processes and procedures. The position is open to hybrid or remote work arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Manage functional teams through program execution for various products and services.
• Represent the functional department at management-level meetings.
• Ensure deliverables meet program schedules and are obtained in a timely manner.
• Oversee training of staff and provide technical direction.
• Continuously improve processes and procedures within the department.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in a related discipline.
• Typically 6+ years of progressive engineering services experience, including 0-2+ years of management experience.
• Extensive experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
• An active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous management experience, including recruiting and evaluating employees.
• Experience in identifying and coordinating resources for effective tools and training.
• Understanding of project schedules, budgets, bids, and estimates for program work packages.
• Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry or US Department of Defense.
