About the position
The Sr. Engineering Technician will provide advanced technical support and data analysis to the Uinta Basin development team, working independently to enhance engineering tasks and projects. This role involves utilizing extensive knowledge of data analysis tools and databases to optimize data collection and reporting processes, contributing to development planning and performance benchmarking.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical support and data analyses to the Uinta development team.
- Utilize Spotfire, Access, and SQL for data management and analysis.
- Assemble and analyze data from various internal systems and third-party sources.
- Ensure accuracy of data and reporting, advising on data collection methods.
- Review and authorize supporting data from public sources.
- Generate monthly reports for project performance tracking.
- Assist engineers in preparing technical reports and presentations.
- Perform calculations and preliminary analyses in support of engineering studies.
- Develop accurate and reliable data analysis and reporting methodologies.
Requirements
- Technical associate degree or related experience required.
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in related field or industry.
- Proficient knowledge of engineering job-specific software systems and procedures.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office and discipline-specific programs like Spotfire, Aries, and Alteryx.
- Proficient numeric and analytical skills for data mining and interpretation.

- Experience with Aries and Alteryx is a plus.
