The Sr. Environmental Permitting and Licensing Consultant position at Sargent & Lundy involves supporting project teams in the Energy & Industrial Group by reviewing, evaluating, and implementing environmental regulatory requirements for various electric power and industrial projects. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while contributing to the company's efforts in decarbonization and renewable energy initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Review and implement federal, state, and local regulatory requirements for specific projects.
• Develop strategies for cost-effective mitigation compliance plans.
• Prepare site-specific environmental impact studies for proposed energy projects.
• Collaborate with project engineers to ensure compliance with environmental requirements in project designs.
• Prepare permit applications and interface with regulatory agencies.
• Draft complex technical reports including environmental and social impact assessments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prepare technical reports and documentation.

Nice-to-haves
