About the position

The Sr. ETL Developer with Pentaho is responsible for designing and implementing complex ETL processes to support data integration for Operational Data Stores, Data Warehouses, and Data Marts. This role requires extensive experience in ETL development, particularly with Pentaho Data Integration (PDI), and strong SQL skills. The position involves collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure data accuracy, efficiency, and maintainability while adhering to established standards and methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Create complex data loading processes for Operational Data Stores, Data Warehouses, and Data Marts.
• Extract data from various sources, transform it as required, and load it to target databases or structures.
• Analyze and review complex object and data models and the metadata repository.
• Work with project managers, data modelers, DBAs, and system administrators to design load processes and identify potential problem areas.
• Collaborate with the Data Architect to implement complex data integration requirements.
• Develop process flow diagrams to document ETL processes.
• Maintain strong documentation of processes and data models.
• Utilize strong data analysis skills using SQL to ensure data integrity and accuracy.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as an ETL Developer.
• 6+ years of experience with ETL PDI (Pentaho Data Integration).
• Strong SQL skills for data analysis and manipulation.
• Experience with Python is a plus.
• Strong documentation skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Agile environments.
• Familiarity with data modeling and database design.
