About the position

Motorola Solutions is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Event Planner to join our Customer Experiences and Events team. This role is pivotal in developing and executing a variety of events that align with our strategic sales objectives and enhance our brand presence across the industries we serve. The Senior Event Planner will be responsible for managing all aspects of event planning, from initial strategy development to post-event analysis. This includes overseeing project scope, managing budgets, and ensuring successful execution of events such as exhibitions, trade shows, conferences, and networking events. In this position, you will take full accountability for the event project lifecycle, which encompasses strategy development, RFP and contracting, planning, onsite execution, and post-show budget reconciliation. You will be expected to develop and implement comprehensive project plans, establish event budgets, and create critical timelines to ensure all events are executed flawlessly. Your role will also involve negotiating contracts with venues and third-party agencies, as well as fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders across various departments, including marketing, sales, and leadership. The Senior Event Planner will utilize event technology tools, such as Cvent, to enhance event management processes. You will travel to events to oversee operations and logistics, ensuring that both sales and customer/partner satisfaction are prioritized. This position requires exceptional communication skills, time management abilities, and project management expertise, as you will be working in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines. Your enthusiasm for the event industry and your ability to bring innovative ideas to the table will be crucial in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of event planning from strategy development to post-event analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • 7+ years of proven corporate event management experience.
  • Fluency in Spanish preferred.
  • Prior experience in budget management and negotiations.
  • Experience in customer-facing roles.
  • Ability to lead diverse internal and external groups through ideation and planning sessions.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with C-level executives.
  • Self-starter with problem-solving abilities and minimal guidance.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • Experience with event management technology, including Cvent and mobile apps.
