The Customer Experiences and Events team plays a crucial role in this mission by ideating, planning, and executing unique internal and external events across North America. We are seeking a Senior Event Planner who will collaborate with various teams, including marketing, product groups, and sales professionals, to develop and deliver impactful events that align with our strategic sales objectives and enhance our brand presence. The Senior Event Planner will be responsible for managing a diverse range of events, from exhibitions and trade shows to hosted conferences and networking events. This role requires full accountability for the event project scope, which includes strategy development, RFP and contracting, planning, onsite execution, and post-event budget reconciliation and KPI measurement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in event management, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. In this position, you will develop and implement project plans, manage event budgets, and establish critical timelines. You will negotiate contracts with venues and third-party agencies while fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization. Additionally, you will oversee all event operations and logistics onsite, ensuring a seamless experience for attendees and stakeholders alike. Your enthusiasm for the event industry and your ability to lead diverse groups through the planning process will be essential to your success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of event planning from strategy development to onsite execution and post-event analysis.
  • Develop and implement project plans, event budgets, and critical timelines.
  • Negotiate contracts with venues and third-party agencies.
  • Collaborate with various teams to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Oversee event operations and logistics onsite, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Utilize event technology, such as Cvent, for effective event management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 7+ years of proven corporate event management experience.
  • Prior experience in budget management and negotiations.
  • Strong customer-facing skills and experience.
  • Ability to lead diverse groups through ideation and planning sessions.
  • Fluency in Spanish is preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • Experience with event management technology, including Cvent.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in managing large-scale events and trade shows.
  • Knowledge of current trends in the event planning industry.
  • Ability to develop relationships with C-level executives.
