About the position

The Executive & Equity Compensation Analyst at AppFolio is responsible for managing and administering the company's executive compensation and equity programs. This role involves overseeing stock administration, providing consultations, conducting analyses, supporting legal compliance, and facilitating employee education on equity compensation. The analyst will play a key role in executive compensation planning and contribute to special projects over time.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee third-party stock administration team for daily transactions including new grant issuance and option exercises.
  • Serve as the go-to resource for equity compensation, managing internal communications and consultations with various teams.
  • Conduct analyses for equity programs including budgeting, planning, tracking, dilution, and WASO forecasting.
  • Support Legal & Compliance with Section 16 reporting and maintenance of trading blocks.
  • Facilitate research and preparation for quarterly Compensation Committee meetings.
  • Lead annual executive compensation planning and proxy statement preparation.
  • Launch comprehensive equity compensation employee education and enablement tools.
  • Increase involvement in other compensation-related areas and special projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Human Resources, or related fields.
  • 4+ years of experience in executive compensation and/or equity administration.
  • Proven analytical skills with the ability to build successful partnerships across all levels.
  • Advanced Excel user and proficiency in G-Suite and MS suite of products.
  • Highly organized and motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • CEP or CCP designation
  • Experience working for a public company in Finance or Human Resources.
  • Strong understanding of financial and accounting statements.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $88,000-$121,000 based on skills and experience.
  • Eligibility for additional benefits and bonuses based on role and employment type.
