About the position

As a Cloud Service Provider (CSP) Field Application Engineer for Lenovo, you will be a part of a fast-paced, high-profile team helping to define what's next in the technology landscape. This role is pivotal in supporting our NextWave hyperscale datacenter customers and driving sales of our innovative products and services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in datacenter infrastructure, coupled with a proven history of success in technology sales. You will be expected to work closely with Lenovo Account Executives and Inside Sales Representatives, supplying technical opportunity management and collaborating with customer engineers to ensure a seamless integration of our solutions into their operations. In this position, you will stay up to date on industry trends and developments within the hyperscale datacenter market, which is crucial for providing relevant insights and recommendations to our customers. You will also be responsible for performing training and education sessions on our products and services, ensuring that customers are well-informed and capable of maximizing the value of our offerings. Developing deep technical relationships with our customers is essential, as you will serve as a trusted consultant, guiding them through their technology decisions and implementations. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with our engineering teams to develop and deliver customized solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of our customers. Assisting the Sales team in crafting effective sales strategies to win new accounts will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will also help customers define and complete Proofs of Concept (POCs) to showcase Lenovo technologies, acting as a technical advocate for customers within Lenovo to ensure an industry-leading customer experience. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to achieving revenue and profitability goals for Lenovo by driving sales with key customers.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Lenovo Account Executives & Inside Sales Reps supplying technical opportunity management & working with customer engineers
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and developments in the hyperscale datacenter market
  • Perform training and education to customers on our products and services
  • Develop deep technical relationships with our customers to serve as a trusted consultant
  • Work closely with our engineering teams to develop & deliver customized customer solutions
  • Assist the Sales team in developing a sales strategy for winning new accounts
  • Assist customers with defining and completing POCs to showcase Lenovo technologies
  • Work with product engineering and customers to collect requirements and drive future technology decisions within Lenovo
  • Act as technical advocate for customers within Lenovo and ensure industry leading customer experience
  • Achieve revenue and profitability goals for Lenovo by driving sales with key customers

Requirements

  • BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • 7+ years of successful technology sales required

  • Strong understanding of datacenter infrastructure, including networking, storage, & computing
