About the position

The Sr. Field Application Engineer for Cloud Service Providers (CSP) at Lenovo is a pivotal role focused on supporting hyperscale datacenter customers and driving sales of Lenovo's products and services. This position requires a blend of technical expertise in datacenter infrastructure and a strong sales acumen to foster deep relationships with customers and ensure their needs are met with tailored solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Lenovo Account Executives & Inside Sales Reps supplying technical opportunity management & working with customer engineers
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and developments in the hyperscale datacenter market
  • Perform training and education to customers on our products and services
  • Develop deep technical relationships with our customers to serve as a trusted consultant
  • Work closely with our engineering teams to develop & deliver customized customer solutions
  • Assist the Sales team in developing a sales strategy for winning new accounts
  • Assist customers with defining and completing POCs to showcase Lenovo technologies
  • Work with product engineering and customers to collect requirements and drive future technology decisions within Lenovo
  • Act as technical advocate for customers within Lenovo and ensure industry leading customer experience
  • Achieve revenue and profitability goals for Lenovo by driving sales with key customers

Requirements

  • BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • 7+ years of successful technology sales required

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Deep knowledge of x86 computing, storage and GPU technology trends
  • Strong understanding of datacenter infrastructure, including networking, storage, & computing
  • Proven ability to develop strategies to penetrate and sell to large companies
  • Demonstrated history of top performance with multi-million-dollar quotas
