About the position

The Senior Field Service Engineer at Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for maintaining and servicing laboratory diagnostic equipment, which plays a crucial role in patient health. This fully remote position involves troubleshooting, installation, preventative maintenance, and service repair of various diagnostic tools, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. The role requires independent work and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, contributing to a world-class service organization.

Responsibilities

• Handle troubleshooting, installation, preventative maintenance, and service repair needs of Beckman Coulter equipment.
• Deliver excellent and efficient service and training to customers.
• Maintain accurate customer service logs and internal service records.
• Order repair parts and adhere to cycle times.
• Utilize business systems such as OBI, Salesforce, and SharePoint for Service Call Planning.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to understand and meet their requirements.
• Help train newer Field Service Engineers.

Requirements

• Associate degree or equivalent military experience.
• 3+ years' experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, robotics, electronic equipment, and/or instrumentation.
• Hold a current valid driver's license and good driving record over the last three years.
• Ability to travel within assigned geography and for periodic overnight trips.
• Ability to lift, lower, and carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
• Ability to frequently bend, stoop, twist, turn, crouch/crawl, push/pull, and sit/stand for extended periods.

Nice-to-haves

• 4+ years' experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, robotics, and/or electronic equipment in a laboratory setting.
• Experience developing positive business relationships with stakeholders to increase customer satisfaction.
• Technical college major such as biomed, engineering, or related.
