About the position

The Sr. Field Service Engineer - Industrial Automation at Honeywell is a remote position responsible for providing expert technical support and troubleshooting for complex electro-mechanical systems in industrial automation. This role involves extensive travel throughout the Northeast US, ensuring the successful implementation of material handling solutions for a diverse range of customers. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, conduct customer training, and stay updated on industry trends to enhance service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in industrial automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, conveyors, palletizers, and robotics.
  • Provide advanced on-site support for Honeywell's material handling solutions, ensuring peak system efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product management, and project teams for smooth implementation of automation solutions.
  • Conduct training sessions for customers and field service engineers on effective use of solutions.
  • Stay current with industry trends and recommend improvements.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in field service engineering, specializing in complex technical solutions.
  • Deep knowledge of Industrial Automation technologies, particularly Allen Bradley PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.

Nice-to-haves

  • College degree or technical certification in a related field.
  • Expert-level problem-solving skills in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, with experience in conveyor systems, palletizing, and robotics.
  • Strong communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to various audiences.
