The Sr Field Service Engineer - Mechanical plays a crucial role in the customer support team, primarily responsible for traveling to customer sites to provide essential services such as calibration, maintenance, and repair of NSI-MI equipment. This position requires a high level of technical expertise, as the engineer will be expected to work independently at customer facilities, often with limited resources. The engineer will report directly to the Field Services Manager and must possess strong communication, time management, planning, and organizational skills to effectively manage their responsibilities. As an ambassador for NSI-MI Technologies, the Field Service Engineer must cultivate positive relationships with customers, ensuring their satisfaction with the company's products and services. This role also involves identifying potential new business opportunities, including equipment upgrades and training services. The ideal candidate will have experience with servo motor-based mechanical positioners, robotics, or other complex heavy machinery, as this background is critical for success in this position. The engineer will be tasked with providing timely and professional responses to customer inquiries, supporting customer test and production facilities, and performing precision system alignments using advanced tools. Additionally, the role requires excellent diagnostic abilities to troubleshoot and repair equipment, as well as the preparation of comprehensive service reports and documentation. Given the nature of the job, extensive domestic and international travel is a requirement, making adaptability and independence key traits for the successful candidate.
