About the position

As a Senior Financial Analyst at CBRE, you will play a crucial role in the financial and reporting activities across multiple markets. This position requires you to apply advanced accounting fundamentals to prepare, evaluate, maintain, and deliver complete and accurate financial data to leadership. You will be part of the Financial Strategy and Operations job function, which is responsible for maintaining accounting, financial, and reporting policies and controls. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that financial data is not only accurate but also delivered in a timely manner to support decision-making processes within the organization. In this role, you will be tasked with creating budgets and forecast projections for various markets, which will involve the development and analysis of financial models. You will handle intermediate to advanced-level accounting transactions in preparation for financial statement packages, ensuring that all financial packages are generated and reviewed for accuracy and comprehensive reporting. Timeliness is key, as you will prepare these packages on a set schedule to ensure they are delivered promptly to leadership and other management teams. Your responsibilities will also include creating and posting journal entries, ensuring that all expenses, receipts, owner's distributions, funding requests, and other transactions for the accounting period are accurately recorded. You will review and audit funding and payment requests for accuracy, documentation, and authorization, adhering to established operating procedures. Additionally, you will be expected to respond to and resolve complex issues and requests from management teams regarding various accounting issues and reports, recognizing potential issues and conflicts and taking corrective action to minimize them. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will facilitate the maintenance and reporting of benchmarks and performance metrics, applying your general knowledge of standard principles and techniques to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems. You will lead by example, modeling behaviors consistent with CBRE's RISE values, and impacting the quality of your work and that of your team. Strong presentation skills will be necessary to explain complex information in straightforward terms, ensuring clarity and understanding among stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Budget creation and forecast projections for multiple markets.
  • Create and analyze financial models.
  • Complete intermediate to advanced-level accounting transactions in preparation for financial statement packages.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 2-5 years of relevant experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
  • Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
  • Advanced math skills, including the ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
