About the position

Visa is looking for a strategic finance manager to join our Visa Commercial Services (VCS) team. The Senior Manager will collaborate with leadership and sales teams to develop financial strategies and analytics to enable sound business decision making. The Senior Manager will lead several financial analyses including long-term planning, forecasting, and budgeting. The ideal candidate will have a deep expertise in financial business analysis, preferably with a public company, and demonstrated experience collaborating with various FP&A functions. In this role, you will partner with business leads to evaluate the financial impact of potential investments and develop long-term financial plans. You will be responsible for developing and presenting strategic insights about the business, aligning functional goals and strategies to broader global initiatives, and leading performance diagnostics, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting. Your ability to become a valued business partner to all business units and executive management will be crucial. You will lead the preparation of the monthly, quarterly, and annual business plans and analyses, interpreting and presenting key findings for a senior leadership audience. Understanding business levers and recommending measures to further improve results will be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will establish efficient processes for monthly and quarterly performance reporting to achieve optimal results. As a project manager, you will spearhead ad-hoc projects to further improve the overall performance of the team and organization. You will provide decision support to senior finance leadership on investment/project decisions as well as strategic organizational and functional developments. Your thought leadership and guidance over core processes will help build efficiencies and streamline deliverables. Engaging with the business is key; you will integrate finance into the business by attending team meetings and understanding the business. You will create tailored, effective presentations, analyses, and dialogues with each business partner, managing robust tools to help analyze the business and enable management decision-making. Furthermore, you will mentor and/or manage a team of high-performing finance resources, helping to create a center of excellence and instilling best practices across finance.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD.
  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD (preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in FP&A (or similar) with an understanding of financial structuring and evaluation.
  • Superior problem identification and solving skills with ability to communicate effectively with executive management.
  • Detail oriented, ensures accuracy and quality of financial analyses.
  • Solid experience in Hyperion and Excel.
  • Prior experience in the Payment industry a plus.
  • Knowledge of Visa systems and practices a strong plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to communicate effectively with executive management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and people management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with other functional areas and understand the operational and cultural issues relevant to achieving superior results.
  • Client focused with tenacity to resolve issues and conflicts.
  • High energy and enthusiasm required to partner with multiple stakeholders.
  • Able to work in a dual reporting matrix environment.
  • Be eligible to work in United States without work authorization sponsorship now or anytime in the future.
