About the position

As a Senior Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial planning, forecasting, and analysis for a substantial portfolio exceeding $300 million. This position requires a deep understanding of financial cycles, including month-end close processes, forecasting, the development of a five-year strategic financial plan, and the annual planning process. You will be responsible for preparing, consolidating, analyzing, and documenting financial data that is crucial for summarizing and measuring the status of various business plans. Your insights will help identify variances and predict future results, which are essential for informed decision-making at the upper management level. In this role, you will work closely with the Director of Finance on major projects and requests, ensuring that financial activities align with the company's strategic objectives. You will create detailed monthly and weekly reports that assist upper management in making timely decisions. Additionally, you will handle various ad-hoc requests that may arise, requiring you to be analytical, detail-oriented, and a self-starter. The ability to analyze large datasets and synthesize this information into concise talking points is crucial for success in this position. Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is required, as you will need to effectively communicate financial insights across multiple levels of the organization. Experience with HFM (Oracle Hyperion Financial Management) is preferred, as it provides essential tools for financial consolidation and reporting, enabling rapid consolidation and reporting of financial results.

Responsibilities

  • Manage planning, forecasting, and comparison of financial activity for a portfolio in excess of $300M.
  • Oversee major financial cycles including Month End Close, Forecast, 5-year Strategic Financial Plan, and Annual Plan.
  • Prepare, consolidate, analyze, and document financial data to summarize and measure status and evaluate business plans.
  • Identify variances and predict results based on financial data analysis.
  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Finance on major projects and requests.
  • Create monthly and weekly reports to assist upper management with timely decision-making.
  • Handle ad-hoc requests as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience in financial planning and analysis for large portfolios.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels of the organization.
  • Experience with HFM (Oracle Hyperion Financial Management) preferred.
