About the position

As a CBRE Finance Sr. Manager, you will lead a team responsible for producing all output associated with Finance Strategy and Operations, including the annual budget preparation, monthly forecasts, strategic planning, management reporting, and other special projects. This role is integral to the Financial Strategy and Operations job function, where you will maintain accounting, financial, and reporting policies and controls. Your leadership will be crucial in guiding the team through various financial processes and ensuring that all outputs meet the high standards expected by senior management. In this position, you will provide formal supervision to employees, overseeing their training and development. You will conduct performance evaluations and mentor team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and support to excel in their roles. Additionally, you will lead all aspects of recruiting and hiring new employees, coordinating and leading the team's daily activities. Establishing work schedules, assigning tasks, and cross-training staff will be part of your responsibilities, as will setting and tracking deadlines for both staff and the department. You will drive the budgeting process, forecasting process, strategic planning process, and standard management reporting. Your role will involve approving balance sheet account analysis, statement of cash flows, and supporting schedules, as well as reviewing and approving all monthly journal entries. You will produce a variety of sophisticated routine and ad hoc financial reports, packages, and pro forma analyses for senior management and the planning unit. Leading special projects and preparing presentations for management will also be key aspects of your job. Your ability to exchange and explain difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle sensitive issues will be essential. You will influence parties of shared interests to reach agreements and lead by example, modeling behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values. Identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving day-to-day and moderately sophisticated issues will be part of your daily tasks, ensuring that the team operates smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5 - 8 years of proven experience.
  • Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and enhancing performance and retention.
  • Ability to lead the exchange of critical, complicated, and difficult information.
  • Leadership skills to empower the team to achieve broad operational targets.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Extensive interpersonal skills and an inquisitive approach.
  • Intermediate math skills, with the ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages and fractions.
