The Eddystone Plant, considered the HUB for Cocoa North America, is responsible for the procurement of cocoa beans and other semi-finished cocoa ingredients, the processing of these ingredients into finished Cocoa products, and selling these products to Third-parties or internal BC chocolate entities. We are looking for a Senior Finance & Operations Analyst to address the key initiatives of the Plant and North America Customer Supply & Development (CSD) Organization, while supporting the local Finance Business Partner (BP) in daily, monthly and ad-hoc activities.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for generating and analyzing daily, weekly and monthly reports to ensure data accuracy
  • Assist in month-end closing duties including production order balancing, cost reclasses, accruals and reporting
  • Support, influence, advise and challenge the management team in strategic and operational decision-making processes
  • Materially contribute to the achievement of the business goals and targets of the region
  • Support and drive business development and associated investment plans
  • Support budget holders on preparing operating budgets and capex plans
  • Support pricing (Controlling) with correct reflection of the factory costs to be used in pricing customers
  • Combine financial skills with business knowledge and act as a co-pilot to the business
  • Proactively provide insights on opportunities / risks and associated financial impact
  • Continuously recommend scenarios to increase efficiency or avoid inefficiencies; drive change
  • Support driving productivity and improving MUV/Rework/Blocked Stock
  • Monitor stock levels and audit cycle counts
  • Actively participate in local team board meetings
  • Attend and contribute to local management meetings
  • Perform Spare Parts stock reconciliations
  • Follow-up CAPEX project execution and monitor fixed assets

Requirements

  • Degree in Business Related field (Finance, Accounting, Economics)
  • 3+ years of prior work experience in the field of finance
  • Basic understanding of cost accounting principles and financial reporting structure
  • Prior experience in Food Manufacturing or B2B preferred
  • Previous exposure to commodities is a plus
  • Language: English business proficiency
  • Knowledge of finance tools is a plus (SAP and related: BW, BOFC; Tagetik, etc.)
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Proficiency in google tools is a plus (google sheets, google slides, google drive)
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and writing)
  • Comfortable challenging the status quo and being persistent in driving results
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to effectively link the financial reporting issues with the underlying facts
  • Ability to think strategically / see the big picture
