About the position

As a Senior Finance Transformation Analyst at Interstate Batteries, you will play a crucial role in supporting the design and configuration of our enterprise resource planning (ERP) and ancillary systems' infrastructure. Your primary focus will be on achieving process improvements that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our financial operations. You will partner cross-functionally with business and department owners, as well as IT, to develop measurement systems, metrics, and dashboards that will help detect, analyze, improve, and control the quality, speed, and efficiency of transactional processes. Key areas of focus will include Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger account reconciliations, and Intercompany accounting, all of which are vital to supporting the Finance organization. In this role, you will identify opportunities to improve financial processes by leveraging existing system capabilities. You will assist in the adoption, testing, and integration of additional Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) messaging to enhance and align customer remittance with customer billing messaging and automation. Your responsibilities will also include developing and executing IT User Acceptance Testing for system enhancements and changes, as well as providing ad-hoc support as needed, including root cause issue identification and resolution. The position requires a proactive and self-motivated individual who can manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently while maintaining a high degree of accuracy. Your analytical and problem-solving skills will be essential in identifying opportunities for process improvements and measuring their impact on the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design and configuration of ERP and ancillary systems' infrastructure to achieve process improvements.
  • Partner cross-functionally with business/department owners and IT to develop measurement systems, metrics, and dashboards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes by leveraging existing system capabilities.
  • Assist in the adoption, testing, and integration of additional EDI messaging to enhance customer remittance alignment.
  • Help develop and execute IT User Acceptance Testing for system enhancements/changes.
  • Perform ad-hoc support, including root cause issue identification and resolution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree or CPA certification preferred.
  • 3+ years' experience in G/L accounting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, or similar high transactional volume environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence team members across functional and reporting lines.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data visualization.
  • Working knowledge of accounting practices and internal controls.
  • Strong experience with SAP Finance (FICO), accounting best practices, and business process flows.
  • Ability to work with large datasets, perform data mining and analysis, and conduct advanced financial reconciliations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify opportunities and implement process improvements.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, demands, and deadlines independently.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Proactive and self-motivated.
