About the position

The Sr. Financial Analyst in Advertising Finance at Amazon is responsible for providing financial partnership to drive growth in existing business and develop new products and strategies. This role involves building and maintaining performance reporting, analyzing data trends, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to evaluate business opportunities and drive initiatives for SMB Advertising products.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain reporting for Small and Medium Business Advertising performance.
  • Define and track goals for product leadership.
  • Partner with the business on deep dives and high impact growth strategies.
  • Analyze data, trends and variances, and anticipate business requirements.
  • Build insights for the business based on analysis.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis on advertiser performance and communicate opportunities and risks to leadership.
  • Own monthly and weekly financial and operational performance metrics for the business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field.
  • 3+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.
  • 2+ years of experience creating process improvements with automation and analysis.

Nice-to-haves

  • 4+ years of experience participating in continuous improvement projects with measurable results.
  • MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos).
  • Familiarity with financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
