About the position

The Sr Financial Analyst for Amazon Grocery Logistics - FP&A will play a crucial role in the financial planning and analysis of the Grocery Operations team. This position involves partnering with various finance and business leaders to provide insights and support for decision-making, focusing on improving the customer experience and driving long-term profitability. The analyst will be responsible for developing financial models, reporting, and process improvements, while collaborating with stakeholders across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the key FP&A partner working directly with Grocery Operations finance and business teams to provide financial information and support.
  • Own the consolidation, analyses, and reporting on all of US Grocery Operations.
  • Develop high quality, data-driven financial analyses that drive business insights and support informed decision-making by company executives.
  • Partner with stakeholders including Operations, Accounting, and Finance Technology to identify opportunities and business requirements for financial systems, process improvement, and technology innovation/automation.
  • Lead analytical support for ad-hoc/cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Lead in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reviews.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience.
  • 3+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience.
  • 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field, or Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience.
  • Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence.

Nice-to-haves

  • 3+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience.
  • Knowledge of Tableau.
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
