About the position

The Sr. Financial Analyst (Data) at Montefiore Medical Center is responsible for creating analyses and reports that drive business decisions within the supply chain of a healthcare environment. This role involves harvesting data from multiple systems to identify efficiencies and savings, ensuring the integrity of reporting, and interpreting business requirements from stakeholders. The analyst will utilize advanced analytical skills to support data-driven strategies and decision-making processes, while also collaborating with data engineers and utilizing various visualization tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist Supply Chain Services leaders with tracking financial performance for the organization and departmental initiatives.
• Use various system applications for tracking, analyzing, and developing management reports.
• Design, develop, and maintain reports, scorecards, and dashboards for the Supply Chain Services organization.
• Run reports in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner.
• Investigate key business trends, performance, issues, and behaviors using complex datasets.
• Analyze business needs and document functional and technical requirements.
• Prepare routine department status reports and ensure adherence to protocols and project plans.
• Provide direction and support to the department, keeping the team informed of changes and decisions.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

Requirements

• BS/BA Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; Master's preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years in an advanced Data Analytics position.
• Minimum of three (3) years' management experience, preferably in a healthcare environment/operations.
• Experience with visualization tools including Tableau, R Shiny, Power BI, and Python.
• Experience creating complex, high-performance data queries, views, and indexes.
• Experience testing report functions to ensure data accuracy.
