About the position

As a Senior Financial Analyst at Worldpay, you will play a crucial role in the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function of the organization. This position requires a deep understanding of financial concepts and the ability to interpret and implement these concepts effectively. You will be working closely with a diverse team, ensuring that the financial health of the organization is monitored and reported accurately. Your responsibilities will include performing technical analyses to assess both present and future financial performance, which is essential for strategic decision-making within the company. In this role, you will gather and analyze data to prepare recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activities, and operating forecasts. You will meet with internal leaders to discuss timelines and methodologies for completing budgets, ensuring that all financial planning aligns with the company's strategic goals. Additionally, you will be responsible for researching and compiling data to forecast and prepare budget projections for various divisions or groups within the organization. Tracking revenue and expenses will also be a key part of your responsibilities, as you will compare actual figures to forecasts and make necessary adjustments to ensure financial accuracy. Your analytical skills will be put to the test as you research rates of return, depreciation, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, and the impact of governmental requirements on the organization’s financial performance. This position is not just about crunching numbers; it’s about providing insights that drive the business forward and help shape the financial strategy of Worldpay.

Responsibilities

  • Performing technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance.
  • Gathering, analyzing, and preparing recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, trending future requirements, and operating forecasts.
  • Meeting with internal leaders to discuss and establish timelines and methodologies for completing budgets.
  • Researching and compiling data to forecast and prepare budget projections for a division or similar group of organizations.
  • Tracking revenue and expenses, comparing actual to forecasted figures and making necessary adjustments.
  • Researching rates of return, depreciations, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance, and impact of governmental requirements.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience as a financial analyst
  • A bachelor's degree is required, Finance or Accounting is highly preferred
  • Good understanding of generally accepted accounting principles as well as company accounting policies, procedures, and standards
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems using learned techniques and tools
  • Analytical and statistical examination skills
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and accomplish work to ensure critical deadlines are met.
