About the position

The Sr Financial Analyst in Financial Planning & Analysis is responsible for conducting financial analysis, including monthly reporting and various projects such as budget compilation and profitability studies for different business segments. This role emphasizes the importance of data security and adherence to the company's core values in daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for protecting, securing, and proper handling of all confidential data held by Ascensus.
• Research and document expense variances for monthly reporting.
• Assist business leaders with calculations and expense review for the Annual Operating Budget.
• Prepare board package reports for the annual Operating Budget.
• Conduct ad hoc analysis as requested by senior finance leadership.
• Prepare business expense and profitability studies to assist business in pricing and expense decisions.
• Assist with other tasks and projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Strong PC skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
• Cognos TM1 reporting experience is a plus.
• Experience with forecasting, budgeting, and analysis.
• Ability to meet deadlines set by management.
• Able to successfully balance multiple projects concurrently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Ability to work independently as well as with a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills with internal and external clients including senior management.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance required; Masters and/or CPA preferred.
• 3+ years of accounting/finance work experience.
