About the position

At Orora Packaging Solutions, we are seeking a talented Senior Financial Analyst to join our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team. This role is pivotal in supporting the business through comprehensive reporting and analysis of financial information within the framework of our financial planning and analysis function, as well as the accounting and finance function. The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for compiling and analyzing financial data, developing insightful analysis, projections, reports, and presentations, and ensuring that financial information is accurately recorded. The primary responsibility of this position includes compiling and preparing month-end consolidated reporting for Orora Packaging Solutions (OPS). This involves key month-end consolidation processes, including the upload and validation of the Profit & Loss statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement in our corporate consolidation system (HFM). The analyst will also play a crucial role in capital expenditure planning and the approval process, coordinating and maintaining the corporate capital approval and performance tracking system. Additionally, the analyst will be involved in budgeting and forecasting OPS real estate costs and cash flow, developing various departmental budgets, and providing monthly variance analysis. The Senior Financial Analyst will lead and facilitate projects with business partners and IT to develop, automate, and enhance consistent and accurate reporting. This role also includes assisting with month-end close and reporting activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures as well as GAAP. The position requires a proactive approach to perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the financial planning and analysis team.

Responsibilities

  • Compile and prepare month-end consolidated reporting for Orora Packaging Solutions (OPS).
  • Manage key month-end consolidation processes, including upload and validation of P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement in corporate consolidation system (HFM).
  • Coordinate and maintain corporate capital approval and performance tracking system for capital expenditure planning and approval process.
  • Budget and forecast OPS real estate costs and cash flow.
  • Develop various departmental budgets and rolling 12-month forecasts, providing monthly variance analysis.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis as needed using HFM and BPC Analysis and EPM.
  • Lead and facilitate projects with business partners and IT to develop, automate, and enhance consistent, accurate reporting.
  • Assist with month-end close and reporting activities.
  • Ensure compliance with Company Policies and Procedures and GAAP.
  • Perform other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years FP&A experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field required; M.B.A. preferred.
  • Experience with financial consolidation and reporting software, e.g., BPC and/or HFM.
  • Strong analytical capability including comprehension of large, complex data sets.
