About the position

Teleflex Incorporated is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our dynamic team in Wayne, PA. This role is pivotal in the planning, organizing, and directing of the company's worldwide financial reporting, ensuring that timely financial results are provided to management. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing systems and techniques that enhance worldwide financial management reporting, thereby supporting executive decision-making processes. This position is integral to the Corporate division, which serves as the central operating unit of the company, setting strategy and policy while providing essential business development, finance, human resources, information technology, investor relations, and legal support to various business units. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will coordinate the preparation and consolidation of global Business Unit financial results, including monthly actuals, quarterly forecasts, annual plans, and long-term strategic plans. You will also aid in the preparation of the strategic plan, annual budget, and quarterly forecasts, contributing to key Global FP&A functions on a weekly and monthly basis. This includes weekly sales reporting, financial presentation setup, data gathering, and report generation. Your analytical skills will be crucial as you make recommendations to management regarding cost-saving or profit-generating opportunities and strategies for profitability improvement. In this role, you will interface with finance peers to collect and interpret information for monthly analysis, ensuring that proper backup is obtained to support all public disclosures. You will also support Corporate Function budgeting, forecasting, and actual variance analysis while maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information. Additionally, you will represent Global FP&A on special projects as assigned, making this a multifaceted and impactful position within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate preparing and consolidating global Business Unit financial results (Monthly actuals, quarterly forecast, annual plan, long-term strategic plan).
  • Aid in preparing the strategic plan, annual budget, and quarterly forecasts.
  • Contribute to other key Global FP&A functions on a weekly and monthly basis (Weekly sales reporting, financial presentation setup, data gathering, and report generation).
  • Make recommendations to management regarding cost-saving or profit-generating opportunities and profitability improvement strategies.
  • Interface with Finance peers to collect and interpret information for monthly analysis and ensure proper backup is obtained to support all public disclosures.
  • Support Corporate Function budgeting, forecasting, and actual variance analysis.
  • Maintain highest levels of confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information.
  • Represent Global FP&A on special projects (As assigned).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree specializing in Accounting or Finance.
  • 4+ years of experience in progressively responsible accounting and finance management positions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven analytical background in budgeting and forecasting.
  • Ability to communicate data findings to various levels within the organization.
  • Robust understanding of the Income Statement.
  • Capacity to interface with senior executive staff and develop appropriate ad hoc reports as requested.
  • High level of competency in Microsoft Excel.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with PBCS, SmartView, SAP and HFM preferred.
