About the position

The Sr Financial Analyst - FP&A at NextEra Energy plays a crucial role in supporting senior management decision-making through financial modeling and analysis. This position is part of the Financial Center of Excellence and involves collaboration with various business units to provide financial insights, variance analysis, and support for budget and forecast processes. The analyst will focus on continuous improvement and automation, working closely with IT and other FP&A teams to enhance financial reporting and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Identifies, analyzes, and communicates the impact on the Company's financial structure, profitability, and competitive position.
• Provides financial analysis support for various projects, including calculating revenue requirements and customer bill impacts.
• Offers expertise, support, and financial training to company departments.
• Performs financial analyses as required by management or regulatory bodies.
• Makes recommendations on financing decisions and executes long and/or short term financings.
• Prepares PowerPoint presentations for Senior and Executive Management.
• Acts as a mentor to lower level employees.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Grad / GED
• Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
• 4+ years of experience in finance or related field.

Nice-to-haves

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
