About the position

The Sr. Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in the Planning & Control function, focusing on high-impact projects and initiatives. This position involves preparing and developing operating and capital budgets, forecasts, and business plans, as well as conducting variance and trend analysis. The analyst will oversee the consolidation and distribution of financial reports and analyses, contributing to the overall financial strategy of the company.

Responsibilities

• Prepare annual budget and quarterly forecasts for the entire business.
• Collaborate with business leaders to develop projections that reflect operational and financial goals.
• Produce analysis and presentations to support business growth.
• Generate monthly accrual/reclass entries and coordinate with the accounting department for timely posting.
• Analyze and explain monthly variances, incorporating them into the running monthly forecast.
• Create KPIs and month-end packages for presentation to business leaders.
• Identify deviations from the plan and review them with business leaders.
• Develop solutions to align deviations back with the original plan.
• Work with business leaders to identify savings opportunities and efficiencies.
• Determine best practices to improve quality and efficiency in workflows and create consistency across the network.
• Perform routine and ad-hoc analysis as required.
• Engage in special projects as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience with strong analytical skills in financial planning.
• Ability to take ownership and drive results.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to cultivate cooperative working relationships.
• Self-starter with the ability to adhere to deadlines.
• Highly motivated individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Organized with attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice-to-haves

• Proficiency in Oracle, Hyperion, Essbase, and Budget/Forecast software.
• Media experience is a plus.
