As part of our Automotive Service Solutions operations, we supply advanced testing and repair-shop technology, diagnostic software, service training, and comprehensive information services. In the role of Sr. Financial Analyst, you will be a key player in a highly visible position within a dynamic environment. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze and interpret financial data, serving as the main Financial Analyst for the Business Unit "Windshield Wipers" (WS) within the Mobility Aftermarket division in North America. You will investigate variances and assess their impact on planned objectives, ensuring that financial results are accurately presented, including month-end results, forecasts, and business plans to both regional and central leadership. Your role will also involve ensuring data quality, consistency, and completeness in reporting tools to support strategic decision-making and performance measurement across various Business Units and departments. You will be responsible for timely communication with the regional Business Unit leader and global controller regarding business issues, providing necessary documentation and recommending alternative courses of action. A focus on continuous business process improvements will be essential, as you will challenge current processes and procedures to identify potential enhancements and implement them effectively. As a partner to plant controlling, you will act as an advisor to leadership, steering the business towards success. The ideal candidate for this position is a critical thinker with a strong analytical background, particularly in the manufacturing industry, and possesses the drive and interpersonal skills necessary to deliver results in a global, diverse, and growing business environment.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret financial data for the Windshield Wipers Business Unit.
  • Investigate variances and assess their impact on planned objectives.
  • Analyze product costs, project calculations, and investment calculations.
  • Present financial results, including month-end results, forecasts, and business plans to leadership.
  • Ensure data quality and reporting tools support strategic decision-making.
  • Communicate timely with regional Business Unit leader and global controller on business issues.
  • Focus on continuous business process improvements and implement enhancements.
  • Act as a partner to plant controlling and advisor to leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or related field with a specialization in Finance or Accounting.
  • 5+ years' experience in finance/accounting with a focus on financial planning and analysis in Automotive/Manufacturing industries.
  • Proficient in SAP, Essbase, and Microsoft Office applications; IConA is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong result orientation and cross-functional team spirit.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills at various hierarchy levels, both verbal and written.
  • Self-motivated and conscientious team player with problem-solving abilities.
  • Hands-on mentality with flexibility to work on new tasks in a dynamic environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Multiple years of professional experience in Bosch Controlling.
  • Plant experience is a plus.
