The Sr. Financial Analyst - IT at Fifth Third Bank is a pivotal role responsible for executing highly complex financial analyses and driving business improvements across all key areas within the Bancorp. The role requires a proactive approach to identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks, ensuring that all actions align with the Bank's risk appetite and contribute to a positive customer experience. In this role, the Sr. Financial Analyst will lead peers in identifying key business factors that impact all lines of business, maintaining an up-to-date knowledge base on existing and emerging issues. The analyst will develop actionable recommendations and plans to support growth and mitigate risks. Responsibilities include preparing and analyzing monthly reports, investigating unusual items, and documenting improvements in report designs and processes. The analyst will also develop trend analyses and quantitative reports to determine business trends, manage documentation of financial plans, and establish strong working relationships with peers and management across the organization. The position involves active participation in process improvement initiatives and problem resolution, as well as leading the preparation and analysis of the annual profit plan and rolling forecasts. The analyst will analyze business performance, make recommendations for improvements, and measure progress based on outcomes. Close collaboration with CFOs to develop metrics and variance analysis of actual results is essential, along with assisting in the automation of data collection and analysis. Additionally, the Sr. Financial Analyst will provide training and guidance to less experienced analysts, allocate work, and review their outputs, ensuring that departmental objectives are met.
