About the position

The Senior Project Financial Analyst at Copper River Shared Services is responsible for overseeing financial planning and analysis activities for various projects within the Copper River Family of Companies. This role aims to provide insightful analysis that supports effective decision-making and will report to the Director of Project Finance. The position offers a hybrid work option in Chantilly, Virginia.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Accounting and Contracts departments to create and maintain rolling 12-18-month project level and consolidated revenue and gross margin forecasts.
  • Create and maintain Revenue Backlog reports in collaboration with Accounting and Contracts departments and Operating Company Leaders.
  • Prepare and update Estimate at Completion analyses monthly, partnering with the accounting team on revenue recognition.
  • Prepare monthly revenue and gross margin variance reports and analyses at both project and company levels.
  • Support Program Managers and Operating Company Leaders by ensuring timely reporting of revenue and gross margin, and providing access and training for financial reports.
  • Participate in monthly reviews with Operating Company Leaders and Program Managers to identify variance drivers and corrective actions.
  • Establish consistent communication of labor utilization reports to key stakeholders.
  • Perform new project set-up and modifications in Costpoint.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • 5+ years of government contracting and program financial experience, including long-range forecasting and tracking revenue and costs to budget.
  • Revenue recognition subject matter expert for all contract types (FFP, CPFF, T&M, etc.).
  • Knowledge of FAR, CAS, and DCAA audit and reporting methods.
  • Deltek/Costpoint experience required.
  • ANC/Tribal experience and/or 8(a) experience preferred.
  • Experience with forecasting/reporting automation tools (TM1, Hyperion, etc.).
  • Understanding of CUI, DFARS, CMMC compliance.
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
