About the position

The Sr Financial Analyst, Product Finance role at Visa is a critical position within the Consumer Payments team, focusing on analyzing large data sets to provide insights and recommendations that optimize performance. The analyst will partner with various global functions to manage the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and month-end close processes, while also leading performance diagnostics and management reporting for the Global Product team. This hybrid position requires strong analytical skills, financial modeling expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams to drive strategic projects.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze large data sets for insights and to make recommendations to optimize performance
  • Cross-functionally partner with other global functions to lead the annual budget, quarterly forecast, and month-end close process for assigned functions or sub-functions
  • Lead performance diagnostics, management reporting, and provide insight for the Global Product team
  • Partner with functional stakeholders to create business cases and drive complex financial modeling and analysis for strategic planning and investments
  • Work closely with cross-functional and regional teams on strategic projects, providing timely and useful insight and analytical support
  • Drive and manage change within Finance and Business organizations, while building a collaborative team environment
  • Prepare ad-hoc analyses and reports

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
  • 4-5 years of work experience with a bachelor's degree in finance, engineering, accounting, mathematics, economics, statistics or related quantitative field
  • Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI; experience with complex financial or data systems such as Hyperion, Tableau, or SQL is a plus
  • Experience preferred in a global company with a matrix organization
  • Consulting or Corporate Strategy experience a plus
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to influence and build credibility as a peer with business leaders
  • Strong executive presence and ability to communicate compelling messages to executives and business partners
  • Team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible, with excellent presentation skills
  • Foundational understanding of multi-party payment model
  • Proven expertise in modeling techniques, managing large datasets, and business performance measurement/reporting
  • Outstanding analytical and quantitative skills, ability to resolve tough business problems with well-structured analyses
  • Demonstrated ability to improve processes via automation and end-to-end efficiencies
  • Ability to cultivate effective relationships and communicate effectively cross-functionally

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with financial modeling and analysis in a global context
  • Familiarity with payment processing systems and financial services industry
