About the position

The Senior Financial Analyst for Sales & Margin Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) plays a crucial role in supporting the company's sales, margin, and inventory operations. This position collaborates with various departments to develop and analyze sales and margin forecasts, ensuring alignment with business strategies and goals. The analyst will utilize data and analytics to inform decision-making and provide insights to company leadership.

Responsibilities

• Partner with various departments to develop and analyze sales, margin, and inventory plans and forecasts.
• Drive planning and forecasting of net margin components, including shrink, damages, and vendor discounts.
• Update forecast models using key drivers and trend analysis.
• Review and challenge forecast assumptions to ensure realistic projections.
• Monitor the accuracy and predictability of forecast models and optimize them accordingly.
• Synthesize and analyze large data sets to prepare reporting and analysis.
• Make recommendations to improve sales, margin, and inventory operations.
• Assist in the development and execution of company strategies.
• Provide insights to company leadership and support presentations for the Board of Directors and investors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Data Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in FP&A, focusing on sales and margin management.

Nice-to-haves

• Graduate Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Data Science, or a related field.
• Excellent Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
