About the position

This individual contributor role at CNA focuses on implementing and maintaining global IT data visualization dashboards, facilitating data integration, ensuring data quality, and creating and maintaining reports across all IT disciplines. The position promotes IT data standards and coding structures while ensuring compliance with internal management information reporting requirements. The role requires deep technical proficiency in data reporting and control procedures, as well as collaboration with various stakeholders to develop effective data solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of reporting development including assessment, design, development, and maintenance of dashboards/reports for budget planning and operational reporting processes.
  • Identify primary use cases and improvements required for current dashboards and reports.
  • Conduct data analysis and implement changes to meet approved requests, ensuring compliance with IT data policy.
  • Craft high-level designs of data solutions and consult with stakeholders to analyze dashboard usage and capabilities.
  • Test changes prior to deployment into the production environment.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with the FP&A team for smoother information transitions.
  • Collaborate with management and technical staff to troubleshoot problems and recommend cost-effective data solutions.
  • Ensure data integrity by developing and executing processes and controls around data flow.
  • Perform data cleansing to ensure quality of data output.
  • Utilize technology to analyze data and identify issues requiring improvements.
  • Conduct training and coaching of users on dashboard features and related tools/reports.
  • Lead data-related research and root cause analysis activities, providing correction specifications and escalating issues as necessary.
  • Work with technical and non-technical stakeholders on analyses and special projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Technology related disciplines such as Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
  • Typically five to seven years of work experience in operational analysis, financial management, data/statistical analysis, data architecture, data modeling, and business intelligence.
  • Specialized expertise in implementing and maintaining dashboards and developing data mapping and transformation processes.
  • Advanced computing skills including PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx, and MS Office Suite with a minimum of five years of experience in data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, influencing, and presentation skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Looker or Thoughtspot is a plus.
  • Planview experience is a plus.
  • Applicable certifications preferred.
