The Sr. Financial Analyst position at General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems involves performing economic research, analyzing financial data, and generating forecasts to support the organization's financial planning and decision-making processes. Responsibilities

• Performs economic research and studies of rates of return, depreciation, and investments.
• Analyzes profit-and-loss income statements and prepares reports and recommendations to management.
• Generates forecasts and analyzes trends in sales, finance, and other areas of business.
• Researches economic progressions to assist the organization's financial planning.
• Creates financial models of 'what if' scenarios for future business planning decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in Accounting, Finance, or business-related field from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Minimum of 3 - 6 years of cost accounting or finance-related experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.
