The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting financial information, including revenue and expenses categorized by account, customer, and product segments. This role involves conducting variance analysis, account reconciliation, transaction processing, and the publication of various financial reports and statements. The analyst will prepare financial information and ensure its accuracy and completeness, performing detailed analysis as necessary. In addition to standard reporting, the Senior Financial Analyst will handle deliverables such as account reconciliations, impact studies, audit findings, budgets, and business cases. They will assist in preparing various financial or regulatory reports and statements for management and external parties, including auditors, customers, providers, and other stakeholders. The role requires linking financial information from various sources to create meaningful reports and ensure appropriate data reconciliation. The financial data handled may include detailed financial statements, corporate, division, and cost center BPR information, cost allocation data, general ledger transaction activity, settlement activity, and membership, billing, and revenue activity. The analyst may also process financial transactions, including journal entries, invoices, and cost allocations. Additionally, they will assist in drafting policies and developing desk-level procedures to ensure clarity in departmental practices and maintain adequate internal controls. The position requires interfacing with various departments and responding to ad-hoc requests and inquiries, along with performing other assignments as directed by management.
