About the position

The Sr. Financial Analyst plays a critical role in evaluating financial results and analyzing the financial impact of manufacturing operations at Reliable Automatic Sprinkler Co., Inc. This position is responsible for preparing financial reports, supporting financial planning, and providing strategic recommendations to management. The analyst will collaborate with various departments to drive efficiencies and ensure accurate financial forecasting and budgeting.

Responsibilities

  • Support financial planning and responsibilities for the business including the annual budget process and periodic forecasts.
  • Assist in development of standardized reporting for the business each month and prepare monthly business updates.
  • Prepare monthly reporting on actuals against budget and forecast, identifying variances and opportunities for improvement.
  • Analyze and forecast working capital, inventory, and inventory requirements.
  • Provide management with strategic analysis, reporting, and insights.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, procurement, and plant operations to identify and drive business efficiencies.
  • Assist Sales in development of revenue budgets and projection and performance reporting.
  • Leverage PowerBI in reporting of KPIs.
  • Cost function budgeting, forecasting analysis on ad hoc projects.
  • Promote a safe workplace by performing all tasks in a safe and thoughtful manner in compliance with all rules, procedures, instructions, devices, equipment and use of appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Maintain vigilance for any hazardous conditions or practices in the workplace and immediately report any unsafe condition or practice to your supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as directed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance and/or Business Administration is required.
  • Solid understanding of accounting / manufacturing cost accounting required.
  • 7+ years of Accounting and/or Finance experience within a manufacturing/distribution environment.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems including Microsoft D365 preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications and aptitude for implementing new technology solutions.
