About the position

As a CBRE Finance Sr. Analyst, you will play a crucial role in applying advanced cash and accrual accounting fundamentals to prepare, evaluate, maintain, and deliver complete and accurate financial reports for a complex portfolio of CBRE clients and properties. This position is part of the Financial Strategy and Operations job function, where you will be responsible for maintaining accounting, financial, and reporting policies and controls. Your expertise will ensure that financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization. In this role, you will complete intermediate to advanced-level accounting transactions in preparation for client financial statement packages. This includes building and posting journal entries, ensuring that all expenses, receipts, owner's distributions, funding requests, and other transactions for the accounting period have been accurately posted. You will generate and review financial packages for accuracy and comprehensive reporting, preparing these packages on a schedule to ensure timely delivery to clients and management teams. Additionally, you will review and audit funding and payment requests for accuracy, documentation, and authorization in accordance with established operating procedures. Your ability to respond to and resolve complex issues and requests from management teams and clients regarding various accounting issues and reports will be essential. You will also recognize potential issues and conflicts, taking corrective action to minimize them. Your role will involve facilitating the maintenance and reporting of benchmarks and performance measurements, applying your general knowledge of standard principles and techniques to accomplish assigned tasks and tackle routine problems. You will lead by example, modeling behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values, and impacting the quality of your work and that of others on the team.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 2-5 years of relevant experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
  • Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
  • Advanced math skills, including the ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages and fractions.
